I've been through a bit over the years. I've never had anyone to stand with me and talk, or just someone to be there. I Donno
All those years of thinking to myself that I don't need anyone or anything. I don't need to talk to people when I'm in a rough space, or when people are giving me a hard time.
I hit college, and it was like nobody cared. None of the teachers did anything when I went from a straight a student, to a failure.
Next thing you know, I've dropped out. And I don't think anyone really noticed.
I wish I had someone to talk to, through that school phase especially.
I just want someone to ask me, what is on my mind, and just keep asking until I finally give in to them and blurt it all out.

It will never happen. I will forever hold everything in.

I can't talk on here, it just, doesn't work.

i'm sorry you feel like this.

why do you feel talking on here is not working?

do you think it's because you struggle for things to say, or maybe because their are so many of us and you don't want the wrong advice, or someone to invalidate your feelings- which won't happen on here anyway, we're all here to listen and support each other

what ever the reason i hope you do continue to post

I totally understand how u felt ya. I been through what you going through now. The main reason why is this happened, is coz we had been betrayed by ppl who we trusted so much, and we chose stop trusting anyone. thats why we choose do not talk anymore...

But you have to get through all this by believe that there are a lot of ppl still care and concern about you ..

Change that "can't talk"---to CHOOSe not to talk. Do youhave one good friend you can talk to? People tend to open up when they sense someone is being honest and upfront with their feelings. We are all more alike than not.

It took me a long time before I started "talking' on here. I listened for years before I could open up.
Take baby steps and don't give up.

hi, i have some theory in chinese, which right now i can't translate too well into english, and by far no one understands. the general idea is the life is long term and thus go a corresponding way, to live we need positive experience, and with the positive experience in store and being the base, we can do something facing bad things, at then we can retrieve to our good experience and memory and from rest in there, we can figure out means to react to bad, and change it into good. life is always 2 phases, inside the positives to live on by and extending out from inside our defense and fight. if you know this, you can talk to me.

Talking on here, I don't feel right. I don't know who I am talking to. I can see how the react if I say something. I can not connect with someone online
Thanks for this!

Do you need the in-person interaction, or have you found any other mode of communication that does it for you?

Student counseling services often leave a lot to be desired, huh. You... Or at least I... Would think they would really be leading the way in supporting students and staff... But typically not.

That is really crap how you fell through the cracks... Can you try and see someone IRL. The hardest thing... Is finding someone who you click with. Someone who you like. Who you can talk to. Can you try?

Nothing works for me. Even In-person doesn't work because I don't have the guts to ever talk about anything

I understand completely how you feel. I've had similar experiences with never feeling like there has been anyone there for me.

I noticed this post but didn't know what to say, im not good at starting a converstion, but I wanted to say what ForeverLonleyGirl said too; there has been alot of times when i felt nobody was there for me. Usually i see everybody as being too busy for me, i came from a large family and never even felt like i was one of them. Do you have brothers and sisters?

Some people prefer the anonymity and others don't. It really is difficult to find someone you connect with in a place such as this and a lot of people may seem indifferent, but it does serve a purpose. I just joined last week and it was out of desperation for someone to talk to, and I guess I thought that if I threw enough little bits of myself out there that I'd have immediate relief from what was troubling me, but that wasn't the case. It did, however, open my eyes a little further in terms of what I need to do, while providing a place to talk about it and still vent if necessary. There is good that comes out a forum like this, because there are people that have been there and can empathize with what you've been through and offer advice, but the downside is that it's not very personal, you can't see the people you're talking to, and some things simply might not be seen before they're shuffled a few pages back.

But... I digress. This forum is a tool, really. I think most members probably don't come here simply to talk, but to gain insight to help themselves, as well. It sounds like you really need to talk, though.

I can empathize with you, too. A family where intelligence was a punchline, dreams that never came to fruition, several miserable failures... not to mention I've dropped out, as well. I'm sorry that nobody took the time to offer some kind words of encouragement to either of us. A lot of times, it really can make a difference.

The student services and teachers at that school were hopeless. I cannot even explain just how bad they were.
I don't really have anyone IRL who I can talk to. No one seems to really care to listen and I don't know who to try.
I have a crap day like today and still I have no one

I don't know whether there might be something in the community?

When I was in school in Australia I was really surprised at just how crap the student health (medical) and counseling services were. I mean, really. I've had a similar experience with student health (medical) services at my current university in NZ... I find it shocking, yeah.

In both locations I had better luck with community services -- but it took a bit of persistence and a bit of luck to get good supports set up in both places. Both times it took a few knock-backs and a false start before I found what I needed. Took about... A year for things to come right for me with respect to finding the supports that I need.
