Hey, I have recently been checking on different mental conditions. I believe that I may have a manic depression order. I would like to know if these (or any) of the depression order are genetic (are we born with them) or does it come on by tragic trauma that may have happened in our lives? Until about 5 years ago I did not believe that I was manic. But I have a couple big trauma's happen in my life and that when I felt everything change..

Thanks for reading and giving your input..

YES... there are some conditions known or thought to be genetic....... runs in the family.

and........................ trauma will often add to it.
