Hello Nicole.
I am sorry you are going through all of the bad dreams. Are you seeing a therapist at this time? Your therapist can help you get through some of the rough times you are having with the nightmares and the stress you are having at this time. Take care I hope things get better for you soon. Soidhonia

Nicole,

Is this a fear that you have, or has this happened in real life already?

Hugs,

EJ

Hi,

I have PTSD and had horrible night terrors. My Dr. gave me elavil to take at night and the night terrors are almost completely gone. I only have them if I wake up and then fall back asleep after the medicine has worn off for the night. I used to be terrified of having to go to sleep and now I'm not. Perhaps you can ask your Dr. if it would help you.

I suffer from inexplicable night terrors and nightmares. I know how distressing it can be. Sending you soothing thoughts Nicole.

Elavil is one of the old fashioned antidepressants, but somehow it is a powerful aid in PTSD night terrors. He started me out at 25 mg and worked it up to 75 mg, which was what works for me. It has made a huge difference in my quality of life.

I hope you can talk to your Dr. about it and he/she will give you a script for it.

Hugs,

Jan

That sounds like a good idea. Alot of my dreams are out of the ordinary but they leave me feeling shaken and upset in the morning. And wondering whats real and whats not for awhile. I notice they get worse around the full moon too.
