My next speech in business communications

I have one more speech to give this semester and its in 2 weeks. It is an informative speech and my instructor told us to do it on something we are passionate about. I've decided to do it on the lack of mental health hospitals here in arkansas. I went to the NAMI site and got some good statics and googled and got a few more but the one thing I'd like to know is how much we spend per person to have them in a hospital vs how much it costs to have them in jail. Right now if you are mentally ill and commit a crime you are more likely to sit in a jail cell instead of get the help you need. I am very concerned about this and know that the legislature gave the clinic I go to $500,000 to get a hospital up here and then the hospital that it was going to be at changed it's mind so the money went back to the state. Does anyone know where I can find anything to help me out with my speech?

I am not sure how your state is but in OHIO where I live, you can get information on Ohio Advocates for Mental Health and NAMI for current and past information. Perhaps your State NAMI National Alliance on mental Illness can help you, or checking the net under mental health legislation. ot mental health rights may lead you somewhere. Good luck and good day. If your school has a library with access to databases such as Infotrac, Academic Premier (EBSCO), Newsbank, Expanded Academic Index (if they these, they will have dozens more), this will be your best bet, usually better than the internet for reputable research and news.
