I think I have bipolar disorder. I was diagnosed with depression in January, but that doesn’t seem right. I don’t know where to go to get a better screening/diagnosis, and just need somewhere to start. I feel like I’m going completely insane, any advice would be super awesome and appreciated.

Well, you're in the right place to start. I suggest you click "conditions" at the top of this page and research bipolar. (WebMD is also a good site.) The more you know, the better.

Next, it's time to get a counselor - ideally one who can prescribe - as bipolar is very treatable. Start by asking your primary care physician for a referral. You can also click "find help" above. Another good referral site is ABCT.org; this site will also have some information on the condition and many others posted.

I think that's a pretty good start. How does it sound to you?

Can you access the professional who diagnosed the depression?

I agree your Primary care doctor is a good place to start. Or contact a local mental health center and ask for an intake appointment.

I would take action as soon as possible as there could be a wait for new client appointments.

With every countries healthcare system being so different I can only suggest what I would do living where I live. I have used both these options during different times in my life.
