I don't always have hallucinations but when I do it is usually at a stressful time.
Mostly auditory some ol factory. I see stuff out of the corner of my eyes but my therapists thinks they are illusions. Anyway, when most people hear voices are do they seem outside their head or inside. Mine seem as if they are outside like someone else is there. Mostly 1-3 words if it is more it is mumbled and I can't understand. When I realize it's not real that's fine. Although it's a bit unsettling. My problem is the more it happens the more I question what is real or not so I am constantly questioning whether it's real or not. I work in a busy place with lots of noise. Really I am venting but i really would like to know if most auditory hallucinations sound within your head or outside like someone is talking to you |

As I understand it, hallucinations happens outside whereas delusions occur inside your head. Sort of.

I get them both audio and visual. From experience, checking in with someone you trust is a huge help. I still have a ton of work to do, but with Today's technology, its really hard for people to tell if you are responding to a hallucination or on the bluetooth. Of course, the main concern is staying safe and finding what works best for you in dealing with them.
