...it went well - I should be happy - but I can't stop thinking that I'm never going to see those people again - especially the ones in my ceilidh band and the quintet - and most of them I never even got a chance to say goodbye to...

Just got back from my school's summer concert...

Thanks, Direction. I have their home numbers (and mobile for one of them), but I only used them to arrange rehearsals. I've never met up with any of them outside of rehearsals (although some of the others have - the two I'm going to miss most are good friends, and by the sound of things they spend most of their time at each others' houses Just got back from my school's summer concert...) and I don't think that's going to change. The only thing we've got in common is music, really. Just got back from my school's summer concert...

I have zero music ability...sounds like you have plenty...

Since you have music in common with the other two...why not suggest getting together to do whatever people in music do...

Thanks. Just got back from my school's summer concert...

That'd be great, but it's not easy...we'd need to find a date when everyone's free (I'm starting a new job soon, and at least three of the others already work), we'd need to find new music (the music we used for the concert was owned by the school) and we'd also need to find somewhere else to rehearse (we used the school music department before). Plus, I don't think the rest of them would be interested if we don't have a concert to work towards.

One of them is going to the same university as me, so there's a small chance I'll see him again...another, I have his mobile number so at least it's possible for me to contact him...

I think I just need to move on. A lot of things in my life seem to be coming to an end...part of growing up, I guess...

At least this doesn't seem like the end of the world any more like it did on Thursday. Thanks for listening to me. Just got back from my school's summer concert...
