Okay...so I've posted about this 10 foot tall poison ivy tree still growing from neighbor's yard over the privacy fence, reaching all the way down to my grass line. My friend tells me "Roundup" sprayed on the leaves will kill it, but the "tree" is uphill from my little vegetable garden, and I am concerned that spraying the killer on the poison ivy, it will either mist over to my vegetables, 10 feet away, or leach into the ground and contaminate them. She says Roundup will only stay on the poison ivy and not affect my garden, but it is close by and downhill from it.
Advice please! Patty |

I didn't even know there is a "foaming spray," Direction.
Is this something in an aerosol can? or must I use a garden sprayer? |

Patty, I have a huge garden and I use Roundup. It has like a needle type spray and i just hit the "evil" ones with it and I've never seen it drift. In fact, go to the bottom of the plant and saturate the root system. Dig gently around there and really spray it on.
It doesn't "leach" out into the ground. It's my favourite. I've used it since it came out, probably.......and if you can spray the leaves, without fear of damage, hit those suckers also. Bleach on the root system will do it also....... good poisoning.......love, pat |
