***RANT***

OMG!!!!! This makes me so mad!!!!! Part of AA's anonynimity is at the level of press!!!! For the exact reason of people like Brittney and Lindsay!!!! They say they're going to AA and everyone knows it and then if they drink, people think oh that AA doesn't work. That's why we have the anonymity!!!!! AAAAAHHHHH!!!!! And what is this guy thinking dating her when she's trying to get better!!!!! ummmmmm. excuse me?????? ummmmmm. excuse me?????? Ooooooh yeah touchy subject for me. WoW.

oh brother! gee, that's the first I heard of AA having counselors (they don't!).

I feel bad for people in the spot light like this because they are constantly scrutinized and half of what comes out I thnk is manufactured by alot of different individual truths that change the outcome when put together.

Isin't dating between sponsors and sponsee's not allowed? I thought that was a well known fact in AA, and as well is that not against the law for them to date when he is still councelling her?

Yes Rainbow you're right - they call that 13 stepping. That's when someone who has been around AA for awhile starts dating a newbie. Also, when your new to AA and newly sober they tell you not to enter into a relationship for at least a year.

I don't get the counseling thing - AA does not have counselors they have regular every day drunks who sponsor each other. I thought I heard that this guy was really a therapist which would be crossing ethical boundaries.
