Hey all...
Hope everyone is doing well...am missing you guys! Right, i thought i would update you...a few weeks back i posted saying that i am going into a studio to record my first demo...well i went in yesterday, and it went really well...i will post my demo here, for you all to hear it and if you could let me know your honest opinions, that would be great. It isnt perfect, obviously. I still have heaps more work to do on my voice, and i have a long way to go still...but it is a positive first step anyway... It is called Stand By Me, and is a cover of the Ben E. King version... The link to the site where you can find it is as follows: http://www.esnips.com/web/Simonwatts87sOtherStuff also, i have left my first non-lyrical song, "Smooth" on the site, in case you havent heard it or want to hear it again. Enjoy Simon also...if you have any song suggestions on what i can work on next, be sure to let me know, i am completely open to ideas...if you feel a certain song would match my voice, then say so...i would appreciate that alot...thanks! |

Awesome Simon! I really enjoyed your recording
 Not so shabby for the first time. I can tell you were a bit apprehensive, but now that you have the first one under your belt, the sky is the limit!!! Smooth is very pretty....very well done there too! I know that someday I'm going to get to say..."Hey, I knew him when..." Way to go Simon.....I wish you all the best  Hugsss J |

bebop, and EJ, thanks for listening to it. Canders, let me know what you think if and when you hear it. Soidhonia, i am glad you liked both Smooth and Stand By Me. sabau..i was filled with nerves on the day...it all was overwhelming, i was expecting to sound much worse that what i did...so it is a bonus that i sounded only nervous in places. like you said, now the first one is under my belt and i have more faith that i can do it...im going to go for it big time! butterflylady...hehe thanks...im not quite sure about the smashing looks...but thanks none the less! fayerody...thank you...you have had such strong faith in me from the start, even when i had no faith in myself. thanks pat. thank you Court Knee...your opinion is much appreciated! Jacq10...i still have so much more hard work to do still...is only the beginning of a long hard road...but at least im on the right track. Thanks Fuzzy!! MRB...i dont mind at all...in fact i take that as a huge compliment to know that it has a positive effect on you. i hope there are many more to follow too! again, thanks to everyone who gave the time to listen to the song...it means a lot to me. simon |
