Thank you all so much for the thoughts, prayers and fingers crossed for our little guy and family. Please send them out strongly right now.

We're getting ready to go and see the endocrinologist. He might have much more insight into the low fetal movement. I'm afraid it's indicative of his being hypothyroid due to the meds for daughter's thyroid. If that's the case he could have a goiter as well and they've not been able to get a view of his neck in ultrasound, so...

It could indicate to the specialist something that the OB's not aware of...there's no answer from OB about his low movement and non-stress tests being so sluggish and barely passing still.

Daughter has had two hospital stays this week alone and is looking at more due to our little guy. However, he's not showing a clear distress to take him at 35 weeks.

Thank you ((((((all))))))) so much for the continued support. Thoughts and prayers please

Love & Thanks,

KD

Thank you so much (((((((((( bee ))))))))))))

UPDATE:

I am WAY to angry and upset...

We just came back from the endo's office. His first words when we described the low fetal movements and NST's? "Oh, that's not good. That's not good at all." To later, "Yes, you should be worried...very worried." He had no clue as to what was going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The OB hadn't even been in contact with him through this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Little JJ at the least could be very hypothyroid. If OB had called him, or endo would've scheduled the called for two week appt as opposed to four week appt, this would've been known!!!!!!!!! We asked the OB in the hosp., "Um, dr., could the baby be hypothyroid? Have you tested her levels?" She was right there in the hospital! Why not just dot that little "I"...the one that meant everything potentially???

My daughter is very hypothyroid and has been over treated with the auto-immune drugs which is dangerous for baby. The endo has taken her completely off the PTU. He said the baby "could" bounce back.

God help me, I'm so ANGRY.

There's a risky test that could be done on little JJ and then meds inserted directly into the amniotic fluid. It's risky. He could turn around on his own absent the PTU. We don't know.

OH, and OB was planning vaginal if both mother and baby didn't show distress. Endo said, "NO!" He said c-section is safest route and that if he was set on vaginal it's a MUST that there be an ultrasound to ensure there's no goiter. If there is and vaginal birth happens, it could take his life.

This OB has NOT done his work on this. Granted, alot of doctors don't know enough about all of this, but he should've at least kept in contact with endo because of it???

Thanks for letting me vent. Please pray and send out thoughts.

KD

Thoughts and lots of prayers still coming! I would think the OB would certainly be in contact with *Somebody* at least for consult!! The OB is going to know the general stuff, but when it comes to something like this, I would believe its beyond the OB's training. The endo clearly knows how to think on the issue. Vent accepted and welcome!

KD,

My heart goes out to you!

You should be angry. Obviously, the Endocrinologist should have been informed before now. Grrr.

Prayers, with more prayers for everyone especially little JJ -

With hugs, love and prayers,

EJ

Thank you so much ((((((((((((EJ, Bee and inky))))))))))))

Bee, the plan is to take her off of the PTU and watch for now? I'm not entirely sure. I think the endo is making suggestions to OB.

Thanks and love,

KD

It's amazing how many doctors don't seem to know what they're doing, or just don't do what seems obvious they should. I'm keeping your family in my thoughts and wishing for the best outcome for all.

Thank you so much (((((((((((( friends )))))))))))))

I will concentrate and stand on the good in this. If this is it, going off the meds could make a huge difference...possibly. I'll pray no permanent damage has occurred. It does look really good that his growth is still normal, and that he does respond to stimuli...even though they're not as good as they should be. I pray that he's "just" sluggish and tired due to meds crossing the placenta and being hypothyroid a bit. That's my prayer.

I do have good news to share. My oldest found out that she's having a boy...two grandsons just a few months apart...Ethan James. Thoughts and prayers please What a blessing! She's having a picture perfect pregnancy.

I can now go hog wild in the nursery with boy stuffs and what a savings that toys will be about same age for here at mammaw's house. Thoughts and prayers please

Thank you so much, guys.

KD

I'm so sorry this has happened with Baby Jonathan and Mom and I'm so happy about Ethan. What a mixed load of emotions you are having to carry now. Please remember to take care of you, too.

Kimmydawn,

Hugs to you and daughter and grandson.

I hope the reduction in meds is helpful for baby and not too difficult for your daughter. Any chance of a consult with a high risk OB?

By the way, no $ savings for you....if boys are the same age you need 2 of everything. Thoughts and prayers please

I am praying for all of you!!!!!!!!
