I feel overwhelmed... as taking the some of the tests was a real eye-opener for me.

I've read the disclaimer that I should post my thread in the appropriate forum, but as a new member with oh-so-many issues, I really don't know where to start. It's almost like, "It's too hard for me, I can't get help, I'm a mess... I might as well give up." That's the way my mind thinks, I'm not looking for sympathy, just a little direction.

Here are my issues:
- Major Depressive Disorder: With suicidal idealization.
- Generalized Anxiety Disorder: Possibly agoraphobic.
- Body Dysmorphia Disorder: History of Anorexia and Bulimia and Binge Eating.
- Borderline Personality Disorder: *just took the test on PsychCentral today, never been officially diagnosed.
- ADHD: Another PC test result.
- OCD: Very likely as I obsess about my religion (Christian) and how much I fail God and that I am probably going to Hell.
- Relationship issues: Gaslighting, Co-dependency (but I don't want to admit it, because I'll have nowhere else to live.)
- PTSD: That goes way back to my early childhood and the dysfunctions of my life never cease to quit.
- Somatic Symptom Disorder: Self-Diagnosed, of course.
- Severe Loneliness: No friends or family that contacts me... which causes me even more deep, dark depression.

Sorry, I know it's a lot... I just don't know what to do or where to go.

Hi Song...

Nice to meet you.

I just tend to post in the area that I'm having trouble with, or can offer support with, at that time. I get that it's all a big mix up of problems and is hard to compartmentalize though. I really get that.
Hugs.

Hello SongSungBlue: The Skeezyks recalls having replied to your introductory post. As sophiesmom wrote, just post in whichever forum seems to fit best with whatever the topic of a particular post is. But don't worry too much about this. The women's & men's forums are supposed to be limited to individual's of those respective genders. But, beyond that pretty-much all of the forums are available for anyone to post in, as long as the topic of your post fits in with the subject of the forum. (Am I making any sense here?)

If you do happen to post something in a forum that just doesn't seem to fit, a Moderator may move it... no big deal. If you're unsure in any particular case, you can always Personal Message a Moderator of the forum you're thinking about posting in & ask if what you want to post there is okay. You can also always Personal Message any member of the Community Liaison Team for help. For the most part, everyone here on PC is pretty accommodating!

Thank you both for your replies!

sophiesmom, yes, it is about figuring out where to take the first step, but I figured I might as well start somewhere. I appreciate the hugs!

Skeezyks, good memory you have there! Seems easy enough... I did a little lurking before joining. Nice to see a "distraction room" to get your mind off of life's issues and interact with others. Oh and I also appreciate the hugs!

Some areas of the forum are more active than others, as you know. Some issues I have posted I haven't gotten more than one or two replies.

I tend to be on the depression forum when I am able to support. It does get a little difficult there as you can imagine, so be sure to take care of yourself in that respect.
I also suffer from anxiety so I'm over there occasionally.

The chat rooms are highly recommended (I tried but they are not for me sadly) you might find them beneficial.

Thanks for letting me know, sophiesmom. I probably will stay away from the chat room due to my anxiety. So many forums to choose from, I'm sure it will feel comfortable enough for me soon!

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
