I don’t exactly know where the right place to post this is, but I seriously need to get this out of my chest somewhere. Earlier today, I had a brief moment when I just suddenly fell down.
I was walking inside my room like always with no problem, and the next second I felt like I lost all control of both my body and my mind and collapsed to the floor without even realizing it. I have no idea how long I was lying down, but I remember coming to, as if waking up, and noticing that I was lying on the floor, with no recollection of how it had happened. If it wasn’t for the pain on the back of my head, my shoulders and my left arm, I would have thought it was a dream... I’ve read that such things can happen to people with severe depression or anxiety issues, but it honestly scared me to death when I properly registered what I had done. This is the first time something like this has happened to me, and I am terrified at the idea that it might happen again. I’ve spent the rest of today constantly supporting myself on anything I can find when walking, in fear that I might just collapse again... |

I would make an appointment to see your primary care physician ASAP. It sounds like you fainted (not enough blood to the brain), so your doctor will check blood pressure, ask you what you ate and drank that day (you may be hypoglycemic) and look into diabetes and other factors.
In the meantime, it may be a good idea to sip orange juice every few hours and stay off of your feet. I hope you feel better soon. |

Please make an appointment with your family doctor and make sure you are physically okay. I'm sorry to hear that you went through this.

not sure what diagnostic criteria your location uses but here in the USA we use the DSM 5 and there is no diagnostics that say depression and anxiety come with sudden falls and loss of consciousness. its quite the opposite where here in the USA mental disorder diagnostics state physical health problems rule out having the mental disorder... here depression is things like an overwhelming sadness, suicidal, extreme sleep changes, extreme weight changes, sometimes comes with psychosis (hallucinations and delusions) here in america anxiety is being nervous, anxious, having panic attacks, sometimes extreme sleep changes, sometimes extreme weight changes. sometimes symptoms of hallucinations and delusions during a panic attack. a person falling down is usually a physical problem so my suggestion is contact your medical doctor (some locations call this their family physician or their primary care physician.) |

I fell out of bed a few weeks ago, and I still have no memory of it. I still have the bruise on my knee.

Reactions to meds can cause it as a sudden drop in blood pressure, lack of eating or sleeping can create issues like that also which is why it's important fornyountonsee a medical doctor to determine what is going in. Heart issues can cause it as in heart rythm problems. Blood sugar like hypoglycemia can also. If a med you are taking is at the root cause of the problem the MDs need to figure the cause out.

I somehow forget to breathe, like a little kid, and end up hyperventilating when very anxious and stressed. My body forgets how to function. I would first check with your general dr and go from there. Agree with what other members said

Thank you guys for your concern
![]() ![]() I should have mentioned though, since it seems that I caused a misunderstanding, that I've never had any major health issues whatsoever. Every time I go to my family doctor for a check-up once a year, I'm always told the exact same thing: Everything is perfect. I'm lucky enough to have a close relative who's a doctor, so we managed to make an appointment two hours or so after I made this post. I went just in the case something had actually changed, but in the end it went exactly as expected. I got my blood pressure checked, a blood test, a chest scan, a lot of questions and even a pee test, and they found absolutely nothing wrong with me. Once more, everything was perfect. My emotional state, on the other hand, is a huge bloody mess. So, in the end, this is the only thing that could have caused it. And this is why it scares me. After almost an entire decade that I've managed to keep my mental problems to myself, I can't have them affecting my everyday life... |

I am pleased to know that you went to a doctor to get things checked out and that they results didn't reveal any physical issues. Hopefully it was a one off and wont happen again but if it does maybe get a second opinion from another source.
Given that emotionally things are a very rough for you are you able to obtain psychological support from some-one who is skilled in emotional issues? |

Unfortunately, right now, no. But I am kind of considering going to see a therapist sometime soon.
