Hello I suffer from a mental illness and its getting worse and my behaviour and reward system is more akin to a dog then a human. Can you prove me wrong with acknowledging the dog or illness even exist?

If you can, is there anything wrong with me using the same logic to prove I am a dog?

Its a simple but silly idea but it is incredibly powerful. I was told for years I did not have an illness until I became incredibly ill. I am beginning to start to piece it together. Any thoughts?

Im sorry but we do not diagnose or tell anyone whether they have a mental disorder or even if what they are doing is right or wrong...

psych central is like getting together with your best friend...we play games, we joke, we share our problems, we share what our own mental disorders are, we share what we are doing for our own mental disorders, we share what our own treatment providers are doing to help us with our own mental disorders, sometimes we complain about our treatment providers, sometimes we ask if others are going through the same thing and what they are doing to help their self through their problems, sometimes we let each other know we care or have read their post by giving them thanks or hugs or both. we share music that helps us, we talk about the headlines and articles in the news,

but diagnosing and telling each other they are right or wrong in something they are doing is not what we do, we leave that up to each persons own doctors, therapists, psychiatrists to tell them that.

if you feel your behavior and reward system does not fit you then suggestion make changes, or talk with your treatment providers, they will be able to help you make the changes in your life you would like to make.

I dont know about your location but here in the USA people can also take classes in just about anything including how to make changes in their behavior patterns. maybe you can check out any schools, churches, colleges and other community agencies in your location that may have classes that fit your needs and wants about how you would like to make changes in your life and your behaviors.

I see you live in Canada. No knowledge of your MH system. I just know my and other MH Consumer friends experiences. It depends on where you go for help. Whether you're not your voluntary , involuntary and involuntary voluntary. Last category is real. It means you go in voluntary if not its involuntary. IOW no choice for you. In the US there is involuntary outpatient. Is that in CA too?
