Hi all....

Just wanted to give an update...

I have not been around b/c we have a new family member... We took in a teenage girl .... She is responding well to our family and love...still has some growing to do but truly wants to change her life and go in a positive direction... b/c of the situation she was in I am not comfy giving out the details of what she was involved in , where she came from or her real name so I will call her "Lisa"...

I probably wont be here much for a while.. but I am doing good.. many of my life experiences helps her situation b/c I can relate and understand..... lots of tears as she opens up and starts breaking down her wall... My hope is that this match continues to work out... it is an adjustment for us all so prayers would be great!

I wish you all well too!
Miss you and hope to join back in more soon...

Love, Melinda

Melinda,

Sounds like you are doing a very wonderful thing with your new family member. Working with someone who has problems they need to deal with, & needing to change around their life, it a real tough job & takes a very special person like you to do that.

It is great that you are spending your time with her & knowing that is where you need to dedicate your time. We all are very understanding of your not being here...your new family member needs all the attention she can get to work through everything she needs to in order to make the changes in her life that she needs to deal with.

You have my prayers,
Debbie

Such an awesome thing you are doing! She sounds lucky to have you--and each other. That is something I have always thought of doing. Of course I can't in my situation now, but maybe someday.
