I'm going back to a job I left a while ago. The past few weeks I've been doing temp work, doing admin in an office which I really enjoyed, and recently I've realised I was the happiest I've been in a long time here. But ultimately I decided to return to my original line of work.

Today I bumped into a girl from the job I'm going back to and she bombarded me with negativity. It reminded me of how negative and draining she was which I'd somehow forgotten. I now feel so down and I'm close to tears, and can't believe I'm back in this place.

I've already made my decision to return to this job which probably was not the best idea in retrospect. How can I protect myself against this level of negativity? I can't believe how much seeing her brought me down.

Have you tried thinking about some of the positive aspects about returning there? There must be some.. I don't know if that can be helpful. :/
Also, are you sure there isn't any way to return to your previous job?

Negativity is every where the best practice is to try to see the positive in things it is very hard to do at times. most of my life was negative until I decided to leave everyone that was like this and I ended up alone. At the time I thought it was a really bad thing but over a few months my Life changed I started work and then running and also discovered that these things actually fueled me Positively, Now I am on Medical leave but do work a little but mentally do my best to block out the negative things and when I get home I recharge

Well you could always wear stuff like smokey quartz which is said to block negative energies in your pocket or as a pendant around your neck then once a week to clear away the build up wash it under cold water the stone that is then ask or bless it silent to yourself if people are around I"I ask for those of light and love to be around me and rest to be absorbed and not hurt me!" Or "arch angels to protect me and guide me in less negative in my life!" I actually wear a smokey quartz pendant myself I usually say something along the lines of both of them but ask " that the universe protects and guides me and that this smokey quartz repels those not of light or love, I bless thee"

But each to their own!!

I too know how you feel about going back to a job that is full of negativity; I am fixing to ask for a short leave while my new docs get me straight on my meds; and I am already hoping I find a new job so I don't have to go back to the place that causes me so much anxiety.
