Grandma and I were shopping at JC Penny today and we were headed to the register when all of the sudden, I found myself on the floor next to a jewlerly display. I lay there stunned for about a minute and Grandma ran off to find someone. When I was able to move, I noticed my foot covered in some sort of slime, and there was slime on the floor and some on my jeans. I managed to pull myself up and the staff came over and they were smelling the slime and figured out it was chocolate mocha bath oil that someone had spilled and not notified anyone.

I was in no way angry at JC Penny, they were all wonderful people, even filled out an incident report and the janitor guy took my shoe to rinse it off. Luckily I was wearing my rubber Crocs flipflops so it didn't get ruined.

I was so angry at whatever customer had spilled it and not told someone. What if that had been my Grandma??? She would have broken a hip!!! I just couldn't believe someone could be so inconsiderate.

I'm a little sore, bruised my knee and my elbow is sore, and my back and neck is stiff. I'm sure it'll be worse tomorrow lol.

So, beware of the Mocha Chocolate Bath Oil. I'm sure it makes a lovely scented and relaxing bath, but if you slip on it, you'll have to sit in the tub just for aches and pains.

Ahhh....what next? Beware of Mocha Chocolate Bath Oil

~Rayna

Oh I forgot to add that the lady asked me if I worked and I said no, and then she asked if I was a student, and I said no I have MS and she groaned....I said don't worry, I'm not sue crazy, in fact my hip was bothering me earlier, and I think the fall popped it back into place!!!

Ray, they should at least give you a gift card or something for your pain and suffering!!

That was really horrible of whoever spilled it to just walk away and leave it. I'm sorry you paid the price.

Oh gosh, Ray, I am so sorry you are hurting. You're right about tomorrow...the pain will probably increase. I agree with Candybear, they should have offered something to you. Did they ask if you needed medical attention? Some customers are just so dang inconsiderate!!!

Please feel better soon.

I'm so sorry this happened to you, and all because of an inconsiderate customer! I hope you aren't too sore tomorrow!

(((((((( Rayna )))))))))

I'm so sorry that happened. Try to take a nice hot bath with bath salts in it tonight. It will help a lot with the aches and pains.

Please be extra kind to yourself for a while, ok?

Hugs,

Jan

Raynaadi, I am glad you are okay. I dunno what it is with irresponsible folks.

I had a mishap yesterday too. So I went to Pizza Hut and got some pizza and instead of the usual prefilled sealed cups they gave me two 12 oz cups full of marinara sauce. I sat the pizza and sauce on the rear of my car so I could reach my keys and one of the cups of inferno hot marinara fell spilling all over my jeans and sandaled foot. Pain trumps vanity. I did a little dance in the parking lot pulling off my shoes and jeans and my freaking foot still was on fire! No water or soda or anything to cool it down so I jumped in the car and sped for home and writhed in pain for 5 minutes and then ran in the house and grabbed the sink sprayer and sprayed cold water all over my foot (and floor). It still was burning like fire and still is hurting a little bit an hour later. The lower part of my foot is still red. I guess I have a first degree burn. I am so pissed! I am sure the foot will probably heal fine and the probability of my toes falling off and being replaced by bionic toes is low but dang if that happened to somebody with diabetes or poor circulation that could get really serious.

This morning the redness is gone but I have 3 tiny blisters. I went to the Pizza Hut website to express my concern with this dangerous practice and the text I could send was limited to 750 characters - not enough to share my angst so I will send them a snail mail letter. I want nothing in return from them but simply a change their practice of serving lava hot sauce in flimsy cups.

I hope your bumps don't get too sore by tomorrow. I have never liked the oils for bathing in the bath tub....but the definitely don't belong on the floor. It is sad that the person who spilled it wasn't considerate enough to get someone to clean it up. They are real good about cleaning up things like that, but they have to be told of the problem....inconsiderate customers that just walk away from a problem they cause.

This must be the time for oops. My head is still hurting from my horse banging me into the pipe coral. I found out the next morning that the whole side of my head was part of the damage.....it finally changed from the tingling effect into the hurts.

My sympathy pains are with you,
Debbie

Rayna,

I just couldn't help wondering......haven't you learned how to ice skate????....lol. Who would ever think that would be necessary to know how to ice skate inside of a store. I really hope you are feeling better however....take care of those bumps & bruses.
Debbie

Thanks everyone for your replies!!!!

I'm a little sore today, mostly stiff though. Luckily the joints that were hurting yesterday seem better today. I think its just muscle aches. Gonna make myself move around today to loosen the muscles.

I'm still just in aw of whoever spilled the stuff. I keep thinking maybe they didn't realize it....helps with the anger at least a little anyway. Yesterday my whole right side was hurting, but today its my left arm. Huh? I sliipped with my right foot and went down on my right side. I don't know why my left arm hurts lol.

Anyway, I had decided to start doing Pilates on a regular basis, starting today. I'm gonna try not to let this stop me unless its too painful. Pilates are great for stretching muscles out, so I'm thinking it will be helpful. If the pain gets worse, I have a wonderful massage therapist friend who will treat me for free if I ask her. Beware of Mocha Chocolate Bath Oil So....I might just get a massage out of all of this.....gotta look for the good in any situation or I'll drive myself nuts.

Oh, and hot pizza sauce!!!!! OOOOWWWW!!!!!! That has GOT to be the worst, ouch!!!!! And a head between a horse and a pipe? OOOOOWWWWW!!!!! LOL. I do know how to ice skate, but haven't done it in years. I was actually pretty good at it back then haha!
