We just received written notification that our waste management company will no longer be providing service in this area. It must be a gas price related decision.

Bottom line is now we will be hauling garbage in addition to hauling water.

Can't burn it in the backyard? () Well that's what we did in the old days in the country. Makes you think about your waste products eh? Talk about downsizing, are you getting a compactor? (I think that would make trash too heavy to handle personally.) Are they going to charge you by the truckbed or by the weight (for disposing it wherever you take it?)

I think you have to call the Fire Dept. if you are going to burn anything. There is a charge at the dump. Fortunately, the dump is not too far away.

More amunition to use against husband for staying here.

We used to occaisionally burn stuff.

Made sure we were standing there watching it to make sure it didn't get out of hand.

... with a hot dog or marshmallow on a stick.

we are still under a burn ban right now. we are still in severe draught. *sigh*
