Hello. So, in a nutshell, I started having an issue with my vision and overall perception. I have no idea what it might be, so I'll just describe it.
When watching a documentary other other show I know is real (IE, Deadliest Catch, for example), I keep getting "confused" feelings, like I can't believe that what I'm seeing isn't CGI. I literally have to tell myself in my head, "this is real! They film it live and don't add special effects!" I'm seeing something that is there, but I can't interpret it correctly for some reason. Also, when interacting with others, I am suddenly finding myself hypersensitive to "are they reacting weird to me" type thoughts. Background: I have Aspergers Syndrome and take meds for it, antidepressant, anti anxiety, and an atypical antipsychotic. My doctor recently upped my antidepressant, Celexa, from 10mg to 20mg, like in the last week. I mean, I have no clue what this is! Any input is greatly appreciated! Thank you. |

I believe I would put in a call to my doctor and run this by him. Has this happened since the Celexa change or before? He still needs to know.

Yes, I'd ask a doctor to be sure.. it could be a side effect from your medication if it's recent.

I'm not so certain the problems are so much your eyesight as your perception.
My own eyesight seems to vary throughout the day and I wonder if it is medication withdrawal to blame. It takes several hours in the morning (after I take my medication) for my eyes to adjust with my best vision at the height of the day. It then deteriorates again into the evening. |

That has nothing to do with vision, just the brain trying to process input...and the effect of medication could be a factor there if the brain is being hobbled.
