First at ut most wantto thank Doc John and teh mods for making the 21 + room I think its a great idea a place for teh adults of teh site to go and chat and not have to worry about what is said to a extint cause its adults reading it ... BUT....... I also think that it being 21 and over is a little degrading to teh 18 and over age group here on teh site due to the fact that all your life growing up you are told wait till you are 18 then you can go and do that or wait till you are 18 then you are an adult well I think that the room should go to 18 and over cause at 18 you have to reg with selective service if you are a guy and if you can be sent to war then you should be able to go into a adult room to chat with people who are not teenagers at teh age 18 you are both a teen and a adult and alot of 18 yr olds on this site are damn well smart and respectful I know taht it is there for teh older crowd so we can go and have a conversation with out teh younger crowd and for taht I say thank you now we can have our place and they have theres but I will also still go to general chat and support room cause alot of teh younger group here are really great folks to and its feels good to know that they have made a choice to seek teh help they need and teh friendships I have here on PC have helped me alot so to all who read this good luck and again ty Doc John .. well thats my opion and I am a women so I do have a right to someday change my mind but right now thats my story and I am sticking to it.....

((((((((((((Savanahs))))))))))) I'm sorry you feel this chat room is excluding rather than benefiting people. I know a lot of people who argue about the drinking age being 21 as well.

I don't think it's a matter of intelligence at all. I have a 19 year old who is extremely intelligent. But there are still things I would feel more comfortable talking about with someone older.

The main chat room is designed so that any age can go there. I don't think that having a 21+ chat room on this huge site will prevent anyone from making the friendships they desire or from chatting with people they want to chat with anymore than having a teen room does.

If it helps, being that you are new here... there is a way to private message (pm) someone on here. If anyone wants to chat with someone, maybe they can send a pm and ask. I've been here a while and I think generally speaking, people on this site want to support each other.
