Happy news!!

I got to see my babies yesterday!!!

My youngest came over to do some more work on the kitchen and the whole gang came with him! It was prearranged that the kids would get to come in! I heard my granddaughter's little excitied voice and I knew something good was about to happen. Then I heard "Grandma! Grandma!" as I was running out to the front deck. She ran into my arms and jumped up. She wrapped her precious little arms around my neck and I thought she wasn't going to let go! All I could do was kiss her on her shoulder and back because she wasn't about to unbury her head from my neck! What a great look at what Heaven must be like!!

Then I came halfway off my cloud and played "grandma" to her newly "adopted" sister. My son and his wife just took legal guardianship of one of my DIL's cousins. She's 11. I gave her a hug, too, and was rewarded with a winning smile and a quick hug back. Then there was the little "mack truck" that I tried to hold but nothing doing after he gave me a quick hug and kiss; Autumn's two year old brother. DANG, that kid is heavy! He weighs more than his four year old sister!!! He's talking, too!!

Anyway... they spent a couple of hours here but I still didn't get my fill although it was hectic keeping up with THREE! Hubby and I were both exhausted when they left. What a wonderful way to get exhausted, though!

Oh, and in case you don't check the Pet section, a baby dove hatched during the night, so I had another wonderful surprise this morning!! Now I've got to get the grandkids back over here to see. Oh, Lord!!

Well... I'm not as good as all that... I'd rather they hadn't gotten custody of her for many reasons, but they did. So... I'm going to have to accept her. I'm not going to let her remember me like the wicked old grandmother. She needs to be loved and accepted.

Of course you can play with the little ones!! They are such a trip, each in his/her own right. Autumn is like her daddy when he was little... a regular F4 tornado of happiness. LOL

Can you get down on the floor and play cars?? I can't! Austin doesn't stay down there very long, though. He's off to play in Poppa Jerry's tool box and ride anything that has wheels or that he can push and make go. When we put him down for a nap or to bed, we can play make-up with the girls, or Barbies, or paper dolls, or we can make cookies... how's that? Oh... the 11 yr old's name is Cheyenne. Pretty, huh? When can I expect you? hehe
