Ups and downs thanks Laurie, I fear that three took over for a few seconds at work but I don't think anyone noticed, luckily.

I'm so glad today was better. I have a thing with a certain song...when it comes on the radio it is easy to let that song ruin my day because I have had bad things happen after I heard that song. More than anything else, I begin to worry frantically about my cats. I feel for you.

Laurie's post made me think of the flip side of certain things triggering us. Sometimes I will notice something, like driving by a dunkin donuts or the thruway, and I just feel all is right in the world. Even just for a moment. I just wanted to express that. I wish "all is right in the world" cues to everyone today. (((Whispershadow)))

If three is scared off, wouldn't that be kind of a decent thing to happen?

Yes if it wasn't because yesterday was such a crappy day, three was scared off because of how crappy the day was.

I can't recall if you've mentioned anything about medication in this thread. Are you seeing your pdoc soon, or can you call your pdoc and explain what's going on?

I don't have help, I tried several times to get help and got told "meds don't work for you so there's nothing more we can do, get on with it" kinda thing.

I had counselling years ago but he was about as useless as a chocolate teapot filled with hot water. All he cared about was his next paycheque. I just need to get on with it.

This is so hard to read :-( being alone has to be so difficult!
Do you think that if you perhaps tried one more time, maybe you'd find a better and more helpful counselor?

Anyway please keep sharing with us, just knowing there's someone who reads and responds to you might be helpful to you.

Do you have OCD? My husbands OCD is connected to a certain number. If he doesn’t get things arranged or purchased or eaten etc that add to that number, he feels very unsafe. Most certainly therapy and medication help a lot by taking edge off. He wouldn’t be able to feel safe hence wouldn’t be able to function without help. I certainly recommend you get professional help. Please try it

Yeah OCD is one of my diagnosises.

I know from experience the professionals don't take mental health seriously, last time I was in serious crisis and tried to get help from them I was basically told "you're wasting our time go home"

I'm sorry you've had such a painful and terrible experience.
Finding the right therapist can take time and sometimes is exhausting and frustrating. However I'm sure if you are determined, you'll be able to find the right T for you. Please don't give up. You can be helped and you deserve all the help and support you need. Don't give up just because you weren't lucky in the past.

I myself have had to interview about 5-6 therapists before I found the right one for me. And you know what? Even with this best therapist, the first month was very difficult we couldn't agree on the best approach. So yes I fully understand how desperate one can get, when you not only suffer so much, but also have to manage some awful therapy experiences. I do know how it is... But I also know how cool it can get when you finally find "the one".

So please give yourself a chance and try to ask for help once again.
