KMART IS OPEN. lol

My sister is coming later today and I realized that I need to get a pillow case for the spare pillow. I called Target and Walmart, but they are closed. Then it occurred to me to call Kmart-- I never, ever, ever shop there, but I had a strange feeling that they would he open. They are open until 9. I feel bad, like I want to bring the employees a turkey or something. I knew that somewhere in this big city, something would be open.

I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. (I don't have a turkey so I put a duck, lol)

Off to get my pillowcase.....

Walgreens and Sears are open too, and tomorrow JC Penney and at least one other store I know of open at 4 a.m. I don't live in a remotely close to big city (13,000).

I think it's sad that we as a society are so obsessed with consuming goods that this has to be the case.

Apparently everyone in Philadelphia also found out KMART was open.... it was chaotic, lol. Loooong lines. But I did get my pillowcase and now I'm just anxiously waiting to jump on the subway so I can go meet my sister at the train station!!!!!

Yes, I was feeling sorry for the gas stations with big convenience stores attached (Royal Farms) this morning when we got a fill up of gas and a breakfast sandwich. They were still open this evening when we came home (as was the 24/7 diner across the street and the other 3 gas stations around that corner there). Even the fast food places weren't open so I'd hate to be working for one of the C-stores.

We have a Best Buy here that will open at 4:00 am tomorrow morning and people started standing in line at 9:00 am thanksgiving morning. There are now at least 50 people in line. Crazy if you ask me!

lol it never occured to me that there'd be K-mart in america.. stupid of me as it was probably there before it was here!

Yeah all the stores tomorrow are opening at like 5 am. HA! You wouldn't catch me Christmas shopping on Black Friday! No way!

Instead, my sister and I will be out shopping for ourselves, lol.

My mall is opening up in 45 minutes! After cooking all day, am just too tired to get into it.
