I will probably check in on the morning (to get away from my family member) but i do actually have plans this year. I can hardly believe it. All these years of trying to get away and this sort of just fell into my lap. I've been invited to sing in a church choir of my fellow alto's (from my community choir) for Christmas Eve and join her for dinner before hand! I am almost afriad to believe it is real. I'm afraid it might break open the dream. Then the next day my family member and i have been invited over to my co-worker's house with her mom. It was just me originally, but my mom threw a fit. So she's going too.

I'm sorry
 I won't be able to get here, as my in-laws are using the room the computer is in while they are staying here. ........ just when I could use the support the most-- I won't be able to reach out.....*sigh*......  it's good you all will have each other for support in a stressful and sometimes(for some) upsetting time. Mandy, can't you move the computer itself into your own room now before they get there, say you're trying to make more room for them (they can use the space the computer sits at to put their open suitcases)? I think ones own dressers make very good desks :-) Then you could get on after everyone goes to bed or before everyone awakes?

Oh, I appreciate your thinking of an idea Perna, thank you. However, my bedroom doesn't have a cable connection for the computer, so I don't see how I'd be able to connect.

You guys have some good ideas- thanks.
..... hmmmmm...... have to think about this...... think adding a new internet company to our bills(and moving computer around) would get husband's feathers a bit ruffled.  hmmm...... I think maybe I will try and see if I can get in-laws to leave for a bit so I can use the computer and come here. I will try, I'm sure you all would help scrape me off the floor as I'll be feeling a bit flattened...  ...... so nervous already! thanks for the ideas. mandy |

You know? Anytime I've visited or my mom has gone visiting a relative, the "owner" of the room has always asked and been given time alone in their room! So... just ask her for alone time so you can use the computer!

yes, we'll be here, but like Perna said, it might be xmas eve for the rest of you when we get xmas day it will be xmas eve here in 1 1/2 hours  good luck to everyone !!! we will all survive   we will definitely be checking in on all days
