last night we went to go take lucy, our dog, outside. well i guess our next door neighbor accidentally let their cat out when she went inside and didnt notice and the cat was standing patiently outside the door and when lucy came outside she darted under a car. well i coaxed the cat out and it let me pick it up. then 2 seconds later it started freaking out! but i knew it was my neighbor's cat so i couldnt just let go and let it run away. so i knocked and they opened their door and she was so happy to see her baby. then we got back inside and i found a gash in between my pinky and ring finger on my left hand, a scratch on top on my right hand and a HUGE gash on the inside of my right palm. i mean this thing didnt wait half a second to start bleeding and its about 3 inches long. worst part, i have to work 10 hours today. and i work at a pizza place that requires lots of slapping dough with my palms! its gonna hurt sooooo bad! talk about being a good samaratin lol im dreading it. thank buddha for neosporin pain relief.

that was it. just venting lol

Ouch! Yes, freaking out cats are not fun, even when they're your own :-) When we first got our second cat we didn't have two carriers so one would be in the carrier and I'd have the other on my lap in the car to go to the vet's. However, I carried the carrier cat :-) to the car and my husband had to hold the "new" cat against his chest with one hand while he locked the house door with the other. Cat decided it wanted "down" so he had to really squeeze it tightly against his chest, etc. We got in the car and his chest was bleeding. And he's a strong male cat; they haven't been to the vets in a couple years because we have trouble catching them now; our new house doesn't have doors and they have made "nests" under the couches where they can crawl and we can't get them, LOL. I'm just glad they're relatively young and healthy.

lol. turned out not to be so bad. i found a latex glove and one of those huge bandaids and then used a rubber band around my wrist to keep my latex glove from slipping off caue those things are never tight around the wrist. i was telling people i got into a knife fight and none of them believed me lol then i had to tell them "i got the crap kicked out of me by a 4 month old kitten". i looked pretty cool at work today lol. one latex glove over a huge band aid held on by a rubber band. all because of a kitten!

I'm glad the neighbor thanked you! Did you realize the Good Samaritan is a story from the Bible? talk about being a good samaratin lol And, yes, I would consider you did the right thing, regardless of what someone else might have done. TC of those hands.

Yes you are a good samaratin. Anyone that helps an animal deserves to heal quickly. LOL Seriously, sorry you got scratched, but thanks for helping the kitty.
