Friends,

Bah humbug to all the glitter and fuss. It's really hard to be happy, when there isn't much money to deck the halls, but all of this said, I am very happy that Jesus humbled himself to come to earth to be my Savior.

It's almost over. I've just got "net" left, food and parties I've been invited to so don't have to do much work. If I can get through tonight wrapping the 25,000 grand nieces and nephews gifts (and trying to dredge their names from my memory and old Christmas cards) for tomorrow night I'll be "done".

I'm glad you're happy but don't forget that Christmas is the
celebration of Christ so it's okay to deck the halls and fuss a bit. -Greg

Perna,

How about "My Dear Niece or Nephew" if you get in a bind, or to speed up the process?

And Charle Brown no longer was down on himself once he
understood the meaning of Christmas spirit. Greg

Ha, yes, I love Charlie Brown! He was down on the holiday because of commercialism, tho, which has only gotten worse. And yet, it does bring some people a lot of joy.

My husband wrapped all my gifts that needed wrapping and I'm surprised how much a relief that is to me? I guess because there are so many grandnieces and nephews I only see this one day and I can't remember all their names (half seem to have "modern"/exotic names rather than "common" ones) and actually have one gift I know which child it goes to but have no clue what her name is, that sort of thing. So it's been stressful just wrapping gifts.

I agree with Ba humbug re: the darned commercials and enticement to spend spend spend. I shop quite little yet was surprised and disheartened to see the stuff in the store the days before Thanksgiving. So tonight I watch silly movies and chat on here. Not to bad.

Bah Humbug Redux!!

It's ok to NOT be happy today! This is my day, my feelings, and it's OK to be me. And ME is feeling very Bah Humbug.

Thank you for starting a thread for people who don't feel any holiday spirit. We count too. And so do our feelings.

Also - for all non-Christians - man, does TV suck today!!!
