Hello! I want to start by saying that it's not a sad farewell. I have decided that I'm spending too much time on online boards and chat rooms so I'm going to stop cold turkey. I'll read now and then and maybe post but I'm going to try not to. It's nothing anyone did and it's nothing anyone said. Thank you all for the support you gave me, I really appreciate it. I just didn't want to disappear without letting you all know that it's no cause for concern - on the contrary, it's a good leaving.

It's time to spend more time in the "real world" That's the right choice for me right now.

I do hope it is for a healthy reason. We haven't had a chance to get to know each other well, so I'll have to take your word for it!

I know I go thru phases of spending waaaay too much time online. (I'm in one now!) So, I do understand the need to get out to the "real" world. I hope you have loads of supportive caring people out there and you USE those supportive people!! OK??

And please do pop in occasionally and let me know how the ozone layer is doing. :-) em

After having gone through my "addiction to the internet" period, staying away and then coming back, I've realized that the people you communicate with on the internet ARE "real." Just as "real" as anyone you can look in the face and talk to. We spend a lot of time typing to each other and seeing the responses on a screen, but the people communicating also have problems, strenghts, weakenesses, good times, feelings, fears, faith, insecurites, family and friends they can reach out and touch physically... and did I mention Feelings? Maybe we can't see the friends, soul mates and confidants while we're behind a screen, but they are just as real as those we have in 3D. I know I'm real just as sure as I know you are real.
