Hello everyone,

Been struggling a lot lately with everything going on, thought that I would ask the community for ideas on how to create safety.

Thanks,

I am sorry you are struggling, it’s a tough time, isn’t it? Are you isolated? Stuck up on necessities? Have phone numbers where you call in emergency?

This is such a harsh time for everyone and the depression and anxiety is likely to be harder for those of us with mental illness.

Can you explain what you mean by creating refuge?

Work to stay busy, yet make time to relax, and try to contact a friend or family member daily.
Thanks for this!

I have been following the "5 things" to the best of my ability. My neighbor who is a nurse said it really does help to not contract the virus: wash your hands frequently, don't touch your face, stay home, 6 feet apart, sanitize...and I'm looking for a facemask. If you have to touch you face, try to wash your hands or sanitize first.

I've also been curbing my news intake. (Maybe a little too much now). I've been finding ways to laugh when I can - YouTube helps with that, so do CV19 memes. And I've been socializing and nurturing my relationships at a distance - phone, video chat, online, text, etc.

Hugs to you, HD, you asked a good question.
