WOW!!!!!!

HAVE I BEEN TOO BUSY TO NOTICE THAT WOMEN ARE ALLOWED TO POST IN THE MENS FORUM????

DOES THIS MEAN THEY CAN POST IN WOMENS FORUM AS WELL? HMMM NOT SURE I LIKE THIS IDEA. I FEEL THE MEN/ WOMEN ONLY FORUM WAS A WAY FOR EACH GENDER TO TALK ABOUT THINGS WITHOUT HAVING THE OPPOSITE GENDER'S RESPONSE.

WELL IF THIS RULE IS GONNA STAY.. THEN I HAVE LOTS AND LOTS OF OPINIONS I CAN FORCE ON MY WONDERFUL MALE BUDDIES IN THE MENS FORUM MENS FORUM
BETCHA CANT WAIT.. HUH MENS FORUM

I wrote about this in another thread a few weeks back...... and the end result was NO - not unless they are ASK but then we see that females are posting in the MENS FORUM with out being asked..... so it too makes me wonder.

My thread on this subject:

Please notify an admin or moderator if someone is posting in the wrong gender forum. It is not permitted unless the original poster asks for input from the other gender.

Thanks,
Rapunzel

Thanks Rap......

But may I ask - Why is the board Admin/Mod allowing this to be any ways? - for I was under the assumption that the MEN FORUM meant MEN ONLY and WOMEN FORUM meant WOMEN ONLY (per DocJohn)...... and yet we see the opposite sex posting in the other genders forum.

I personally like the notion that both sexes have their own place to go to be with their own gender - and that we can come together in another FORUM if we need or want the input from the opposite sex...... So, why make the ONLY FORUM with exceptions?

P.S.
I know that you may not really have the answers to my questions, but I wanted to put them out there any ways.

Plus - I sent a PM to the proper person in charge of this subject.

It's pretty hard to control it, is my understanding. We do not have to disclose our gender in our profiles, and it is very easy to either change our profile gender or simply lie about it. Technologically, it's impossible to eliminate the possibility of the opposite gender posting in a gender-specific forum, so we really have to rely on members here being respectful of the intention of the forum.

I could not agree more LMo - and that is why I am all for PC Policy going to back to "No Exceptions" in the other Genders Forum.

I say this for we had less problems with this topic when we knew we were not allowed to post in the MEN / WOMEN ONLY FORUM unless we were of that particular gender.

I have a friend who is transgendered. Biologically she is male, but she takes hormones and looks and sounds like a female.

Where would she post?

I still object to this whole gender separation thing, I think we're all humans.

I would say that she would go with what ever gender she defines her self as, and no one would object...... and please know that her issues the exception to this rule and not the rule it self.

IMO - I do not see these two forums as separation of the sexes, but rather as a place to go to seek and have advice / support from your own gender when wanted - and as we all need at different times in out life's.

Welcome to our men's issues forum. This forum is intended for use by our members who are male and have questions or issues they'd like to discuss in a male-focused area.

That means that, by and large, unless a specific post asks for female input, women should refrain from posting in this forum. While we do not currently limit membership of this forum to "men only," we may choose to do that in the future if it appears it is needed.

Good Morning.......

And don't worry I do believe she was joking more than any thing - as no one will be having any opinions forced on them in a gender specific thread.

Rhapsody's reminder about the rules for these gender-focused forums is good.

We have them for a reason, so please men should refrain from posting to the women's forum, and women should refrain from posting to the men's forum.

Generally, if you want the other side's opinion, you should go and make your post to the Relationships and Communication forum instead.

Thanks,
DocJohn

as far as women forcing their opinions on men i thought that was what marriage was all about.

so far no man has been brave (foolish) enough to post in the womens forum

im not sure in what forum i should discuss my upcoming book PMS AND YOU : A Survival Guide for Men
