I accidently burnt myself making supper; I am covered in blisters. It still hurts like a sun of a ......! So I end up purging; took lax; and feeling like self harm. Not suicide; but hurting. Is this dumb or what. I am so angry at not paying attention to what I was doing, now I am thinking this. I do not understand. I know it was an accident; why do I feel this way. I think back to me ex; how abusive he was. I remember when I burnt supper and he was not pleasant about it; to put it lightly; It keeps playing in my mind. I dont know; confused.

Hello, Itsjustme

I have read some of your posts and see you are really having a difficult time.

Sorry to hear of your cooking accident, and your injury as well as the situation triggering trauma from the past.

I do hope that you are able to get ahold of a emergency mental health professional if you are having feelings of self mutilation.

I myself battled problems with self mutilation in the past and I can say that with many calls to the emergency service T on call, I have not intentionally burned myself or self mutilated for over a year.

I would defiinatly write this situation down, and discuss it with your T in your next session, the accident while cooking, the purging, and the feelings of self mutilation over this accident as well as the trigger of the past with your ex.

Best wishes- Be Good to Yourself--Chris
