Hello everyone,
I've had a few panic attacks since March 2020, and I've been feeling better about those, I don't have them as much, but I still have this strange mood everytime I feel sad or down. Basically when something happens I talk about it with a friend, for maybe a day or two, and then I just completely isolate myself thinking I just want to be alone (so far nothing too surprising), but then I stay in that mindset for days and I can't get out of it. And each time that happens, I begin smoking to help my day-long headaches, I sleep a lot more than I used to, I feel tired, I can't focus on my school work, I eat everything I see and then use laxatives because I feel bad, and I get in all sorts of weird habits I don't normally do. Should I be worried? I've tried to see a psychologist, but I didn't feel like it really helped me. I just want to know if it's "normal" in some way and I'm jsut a bit dramatic, or if there might be a bit of a mental problem behind all this. Last edited by bluekoi; May 15, 2021 at 09:29 PM. I'm familiar with the fatigue and inability to focus. It happens to me when I'm depressed.
I don't like the word "normal" but it is unhealthy to overeat and use laxatives. It's harmful to your body. Have you talked about it to a doctor? Anti-depressants could be helpful. And it can be hard to find a therapist you get along with. You might need to try seeing a few. |

Hi Clrcle, I don't believe that you're being dramatic, it sounds to me like you're describing depression. I hope you'll speak with a doctor (preferably a psychiatrist). An antidepressant may very well help both your depression and your panic attacks.

You are describing my depressive episodes caused by my bipolar 1 disorder.
