For the first time ever, I've decided to throw a birthday party.....ALL of my friends can come!!
  I'm tickled pink!! Everyone from work cannot stop talking about it- I'm having it when the restaurant is closed, so no one will miss their shift!! But help me, I'm nervous as can be......we will eat pizza and play poker with actual poker chips does that sound fun? Of course some drinking too for some who want to. What if someone needs something I dont have there are so many things my condominium isnt stocked with- what if people say it's not too clean? I've been cleaning but I do not know if its enough........help me so nervous when I should be feeling good deep down and I am but.........................................

Don't worry about the darn cleaning! Everybody worries about cleaning :-) and few people ever feel they have the "perfect" place; think about when you go to other people's places. People who know you and are your friends, they're not suddenly going to criticize you, especially when you're feeding them and showing them a good time?

what a great way to welcome my 35th year!! My co-worker gave me card saying I wa the nicest person he knew, with a big hug. I've always had a crush on him, so this touched me. Poker went over great- people were bluffing, it was funny. I invited a 15 year old I used to care for and she was a hit. I never imagined it could be this good. This was just what I needed, a day to get everyone together, to learn that I do matter to my friends......

Good for you for throwing the party. It's nice to get validation from your friends. I threw myself a party for my 30'th and probably will again for my 40'th.
