Your Dad is very brave, but this is a really big deal for you. You have every right to feel whatefver you're feeling. It's scary to have loved ones far away in a war zone.

Hi Court_ Knee. I think it is very normal to feel sad, depressed and unable to function right now. I remember feeling that way when my dad went to Korea many years ago. I also felt a lot of fear which I'm sure you must be feeling too. I don't think there's anything wrong with you.

What you are feeling is completely normal hon. Your dad is going to a place that is not safe, and you will miss him and you worry about him. Of course you feel badly about his leaving.

I will keep you and your dad in my prayers.
