I recieved my cheque today, which was a good thing as my disability had not given my drug store feb's drug card so i had to pay full price for my meds, over 300$, if I hadn't have had that cheque I would be with my meds right now, good thing is that they now have my drug card and i take my reciepts back in tomorrow morning and they will refund me minus the dispensing fees. phew... now i have a cat with an abcess who needs a vet so off we go on thursday, thankfully she and I have known each other for over 20 yrs now so I can do payment plans with her for things if I can't pay up front for all of it...
I've got a line on a washer for this month and a dryer hopefully for next month, so no more anxiety creating trips to the coin laundry for me... yippee...
My van loan people have accepted a lower monthly payment without charging me extra fees or interest, guess they feel sorry for me. lol.
and with all my other debts that are floating around in collections out there from the past eight years (bad divorce then put on disability just couldn't pay them and feed two kids, kids came first) my social worker has suggested finding them all, getting statements from them for the amount oweing, and then filing bankruptcy. not sure how much it costs or how it works, she's left that up to me to do the phoning and finding out how it owrks over here up to me to do this week. My credit score sukx anyway, so Im not worried about how it looks, I don't go for plastic and I don't need a loan.. woudln't qualify anyway due to my low income. and my budget is so tight i squeak so i can't pay them back, even if I did 20/mth each... that wouldn't even touch the interest they charge ya. so I have my thinking cap on... it would relieve some stressors. knowing they are out there, and get rid of them. I hate to do it, it's like saying I've failed. But Im not sure what else to do about it now.

anyway.. enough venting.. this was supposed to be a big BIG thankyou to all of you who sent good thoughts and those who sent monetary thoughts to my fund raiser. It certainly came at the right time.

I truly appreciate it, and will never forget it either.

blessings to you all... who ever you are.

pyewacket.
THANKYOU to all who helped in my fundraiser

((((Pye)))) i dunno about canada but there are places here that do credit counseling and are non profits and they might be able to help you with credit once you get the bills together...it is different than bankruptcy adn they help to consolidate all the billsand make it one easy payment and they stop the interest and late fees and no more calls to you...worth looking into at any rate...dont get one that asks for moeny up front and shop around for best deal...getting your credit score up slowly but surely will help you down the road...know all about divorce...anyway, i am glad it helped and good luck!!! ~ melanie

At first I got warm fuzzies because I thought you were talking about your relationship with the cat THANKYOU to all who helped in my fundraiser

Glad you're beginning to see ways around some of the financial worries. They're not fun.

good to see that things are looking better for you now.
just a quick note about bankruptcy, I am being discharged next week. It was the best thing I ever did. I have been living without the stress of money owing, loans to pay etc etc for the past 3 years, and I have been paying cash, or lay-by, for everything. The freedom that it has brought me is incredible. Ok, enough raving about it now. I know it is not for everyone but I was in a similar situation to you (thanks to my now-ex) and my life has turned for the better financially. So good luck with everything THANKYOU to all who helped in my fundraiser
