I am officially the only person in the world who took an anti nauseant(gravol) and got sick from it.
I make no sense sometimes

are you on any other meds? When I went to get a scrpit filled for some anti-nausea tablets (Maxalon) the pharmacist said that I shouldn't be taking them with one of my psych meds. I was on several at the time so can't remember which one it specifically reacted to, but it made sense given the severe side affects that I had...
Just a thought as to why you might have reacted to it...or could you be going into labour?!?! (vomitting was my 1st 'sign' of labour lol)

No, definately not the only one. My daughter-in-law threw up everyday of her two pregnancies (and during the entire birth of her daughter, they had to knock her out right after birth so she could get some sleep) and the meds she took daily, $30 apiece, only helped most of the time, not all the time.
We were discussing it at the table once, that her pregnancies made her throw up and she was wondering where it came from; she's adopted. My husband spoke up and quietly said, "I believe my mother had the same problem with me."  I don't use Alka Seltzer because I took it 35 years ago for an "upset stomach" and it made me throw up and since I hate throwing up haven't taken one since.

 Wouldn't that be like taking an anti-depressant and feeling more depressed?  I think I'd rather be anxious than nauseous! I was a bit anxious yesterday during the day but ate one too many donuts last night and felt ill... not quite nauseous. That was bad enough!  Can't deal with that but I've gotten used to feeling anxious and try as much as I can to ignore it.

Actually he was a bit chagrinned, like it was his fault, personally that the throwup-when-pregnant gene had been passed down through him :-) It was very funny though. But look at how much the granddaughter looked like her grandpa!

Hi Rainbowz, of it makes it feel any better I was very sick this morning from drinking my kefir and drinking too much seltzer. You will start feeling more strange and then he comes. Then you will feel strange for a whole new bunch of reasons. No sleep, puked on at least 50 times a day, you may be peed on till you learn to cover it quick while your changing him. Oh yes, then there are the blow out poops that WILL get you. It's all strange and magical and wonderful and difficult. One breath at a time my friend.
BTW, I adore my spouse as he heard me being ill and came running to help. He cleaned the mess and soothed my head and gave me comfort. |
