![]() .Is respect a got to have thing with Family ? And are we always respectful to both ? Now because we all have bad days ,,, do we tend to expect more from others ,,, or more from ourselves. Since we probabley try to be more respectful and tolerant of our Friends. Maybe expect more from family. And knowing we have bad days , as do others. How often do we feel our actions or words affect how Friends and Family relate to us on a daily basis ? |

Hey WMD,
Respect is an incredibly important thing to maintain with both friends and family. In a sense, it is a bit easier to let loose, and have a less formal, and at times, less respectful (in a general term, of course) relationship with friends. However, I do believe that respectfulness can suffer in the familial relationship, not out of the lack-of-care for family, but when someone feels safer around parents/siblings. This feeling of security can lead to one acting in a less respectful way, particularly when upset/angry. Just my three cents. mel |

Id be nothing without my respect....id feel almost worthless if noone respected me cause thats what my self esteem thrives on....if someone doesnt respect me...and they call themselves my friend...they better watch out...because i dont tolerate anyone disrespecting me so ill flip out on them...whether thats a good or bad thing...im not sure...all i know is that ive done nothing to deserve disrespect from anyone
