Ok, I swear the baby is smiling at me..

I dont CARE if they say they dont do this until six - eight weeks lol.

When i pick him up and make kissies on his face, he wrinkles his little face up into what looks EXACTLY like a smile.

Its not gas related because he only does it when hes up close to me or Im kissing him.

Whatever it is, its Damn Cute.

Also cute are the FRUSTRATION and GRUNTING he does when hes... er, making poopy :P This morning he screwed his face all up, and held his breath, and then let out this ARRRRRRRRGHHHHHH! and then just stared at me peacefully as if to say, ahhh much better.

hon my granddaughter did this before 2 weeks. my dad said it was gas and the dr told him no it was not gas but a real smile! so believe it hon! he loves his mommy! woo hoo!

Jeremy is REALLY smiling at you, Hon! My youngest raised his head off my shoulder at a week and a half, turned to look at me and smiled. It WAS a smile! Then his head plopped back down on my shoulder. LOL

OF COURSE HE IS, that's an old wives tale! I remember when my first was about four weeks old, he was happy as a clam, then my grandmother came in and started saying "poor baby, poor thing" in a sad voice and it made him cry great big alligator tears. Twisted woman!
