So i was approved for this today, which i think is a good thing. Im thinking it will help pay for the help im getting at the t and the drug doctor? Where can i read what this will cover and what not? I also got a letter from my drug doctor saying since i didnt apply for this or MN Care that my sliding scale fee is terminated? I did apply and i got approved so why are they sending me that? Im so confused. Will i eventually get a card in the mail? Anyone here have this?

I got more stuff in the mail today. Now it wants me to choose between Medical Assistance,General Assistance Medical Care, and Minneosta Care. It tells me to choose the one i think best suits my needs. How in the heck am i supposed to choose? its hard for me to choose between coke and pepsi somedays. Im gonna bring it with me when i visit my sister this sunday. I just dont get how anyone can choose, basically it doesnt have a comparison chart or anything. Just a list of doctors on each different plan. I want the one that pays the most of my bills, but it doesnt say any of that. Oh well im confused so i needed to vent and decided this thread could make sense again if i added instead of starting a brand new one.

Hope your sister can offer some help... at least find a number to call for information. You have legitimate questions and you are right, how are you supposed to choose when you don't even know what the choices really are?

Anyway I'm glad you didn't delete the thread... other people can always get benefit by reading... maybe someone here tonight didn't even know such programs existed. The more you post about it, the more they might know what to expect as well.

Posting always has the side effect of helping others, sometimes in ways you can't imagine, in addition to helping yourself (even if just to vent)

I am on State medicaid only not in MN,

One important thing I learned from experience is to find out (if you want to keep the same) of the 3 your 'Drug Doctor' and your T accept.

Hope it all goes well, Have a good time Sunday with your sister.
