My job - finally - the answer
The little banana man here should give you all a clue!
I GOT MY JOB BACK TODAY! With back pay since 12/16/07 and PTO (vacation accrued time) I was a flood of emotions today. I mostly cried tears of joy and smiled a lot. I feel the freedom of a great stress being lifted. I also got many apologies from the Tribal Administrator and head of Human Resources. They said my boss should never have fired me. They each gave me their card and said if I have any problems or I am being treated unfairly to give them a call. I I hope that will not be a problem. But awful nice to know.
I called the judge down south that was so good to me and left a message. But I will write a thank you to her entire staff!
AND to all of you that have helped me through this with thoughts, words of wisdom and love. THANK YOU SO MUCH. You helped me survive and I cant tell you what a great feeling it is to find so many that care. Thank you thank you thank you My job - finally - the answer My job - finally - the answer My job - finally - the answer My job - finally - the answer

This is such great news.....it is wonderful to hear when the right things that you have so deserved for so long finally happen. When you know the right thing should happen, but you have to wonder if people will actually ever allow the right, fair, just thing to actually happen through all the red tape.

I am so happy for you.....it is exciting that they gave you your job back with all the back pay & accrued vacation time......but most importantly, the apology....admitting that they were wrong & that they treated you unfairly.....that is the the most wonderful part, that they were willing to admit they were wrong. It is sad that it had to take a judge & all the legal red tape to make them realize how wrong they were....but you were able to make a statement & set a presidense for the future.....if it happens to anyone else.

Because you stuck with what you knew was right & kept after it....without giving up because the going was tough.....very very proud of you & your accomplishment.....

This is very very exciting news to hear.....I needed to hear a positive good thing today...to know that good things really do happen to good people....people who have waited so long for the good thing to finally happen.....

Shouts of joy!!!!!! , songs of praise!!!!!!!, pats of the back for sticking with what you knew was the right thing!!!!!!!

I'm glad things have worked out for you!

I'm new to this site, so please bear with me.

I'm having a lot problems with depression right now brought on by recent changes at work. I have a history of depression, but I been good for almost 9 years now until these recent changes at work which have resulted in lowring of my postion and income.

Any ideas on how to stop my mind from racing with negatitive thoughts and how to find the strength to stop feeling soory for my self and get beyond where I am right now!

Thanks.

Don

That sounds tough.....how about throwing yourself into other things such as a hobby or organization like church or support group such as dbsalliance.org

Congrats, Curley! I am glad everything has worked out for you.

I was laid off two weeks ago, and am looking for work now. At 57 it is difficult, but I will find something soon... I hope.
