Not sure where to post this. Not likely the right spot but its nothing major.

Does anyone get muscle spasms and do u know why? Lately my lip twitches, shorlty after my eye lid is always going nuts. Its embarrassing and I keep trying to hide it from my doctor. Not sure why I am but I thought; "what if its from the overuse of lax?" He already threatened to commit me. Geez, I dont want anyone to see this happening. Maybe its nothing, but it does bother me. Its almost constant. Hmmm???? My ears are ringing again too. Strange.

justy Weird question; sry not sure where to post????

Electrolyte imbalances can cause muscle twitching like those you describe. I thought I'd mention that because you said you over-use laxatives, which, I'm sure you know, can cause electrolyte imbalances with over-use. I'd take this seriously and tell your doctor. Your heart also depends on the correct balance of electrolytes to function properly........and at all for that matter. This is how people with long-term eating disorders die suddenly of cardiac arrest. Is your doctor aware of your eating disorder? At least let him draw them to check.

Pebs is right, Justy. Electrolight imbalance can also cause speech problems, like you've had a stroke, so it messes with your brain, too. I'm venturing that is temporary, but when your heart starts twitching like your eyelid does, that's not temporary! Better let your doctor know about it. Weird question; sry not sure where to post????

Hey September, just dont come with the stick. Kidding. Yes I know I need to go in. I am supposed to but after he threatened me I kind of backed off. But silly cause if I dont go same thing will happen anyway. I will go for the blood work on Monday. I will wait to see if he calls but dont really want to go in. I know; scream and yell at me. He expects me there but whats the sense until the results come back. IV was enough. Dont want the feeding tube. IV was for the dehydration, thats enough for me thanks. But I will go for the blood work. Before he sends an army for me. lol. No really, dont want the crisis team at my door again. He will call if something is still wrong or if he wants me in right away. Yes, he told me to come in to monitor but no point until blood work comes back. I feel like I live at the doc's office and the ER department. Bring my bed with me. lol. Thanks all.

justy Weird question; sry not sure where to post????

LOL You're no kidding! Don't kid me, now! hehe Weird question; sry not sure where to post????

I'm glad you decided to go get the blood work done. I'm counting on you! As for the rest, you let the doctor decide. He knows best. If you already live at his office, what's one more day, eh?

Why would they put in an NG tube if you eat on your own? eewww I used to have to feed my mom that way after she had her strokes. Poor baby! Weird question; sry not sure where to post???? Sure got good at changing that nasty thing! Come to think of it... ! Weird question; sry not sure where to post????

Just think about it, Justy. You've still got a choice. My mom didn't. Don't put yourself in the position of not having a choice, either, ok?

(((((September)))), I am so sorry to hear this about your mom. Must have been really tough on you.

I was going to try to eat tonight but my tummy does not feel so good. I took some muscle relaxers, my daily "poison", and some advil. Not to smart but I hurt so bad. I really pulled something in my back or should I say my damn dog. I love him but sometimes I would like to kick his butt.

As for the twitching; still here. My eye lid must look really stupid. I think I look like I keep winking at everyone. I do have to get the blood work done so we shall see what comes of it. I have to go see the doctor as well before he kicks my butt. I hate confrontation, so I best go in. My back is killing anyway, so at least its more than my usuall problem. Sounds bad, yes, but I wont feel like the same old issues to beat my head with.

Justy - wanted to let you know that I frequently get the annoying eye twitch. My friends father is an eye surgeon and he told me that it is usually a result of stress or lack of sleep - both of which I am sure you are experiencing. SO, the sooner you get yourself to the doctor and the better you are able to take care of YOU, the sooner the stress will subside and the the twitching will stop.
