What gives you your most and best inspiration? We all have things that keep us going. It could be a special person, a pet, a thing, a hobby, religion, or perhaps even a favorite website What inspires you?

Hmmm, I have to say that what keeps me going is the good part of my work when I can be there for someone or help them in a concrete way and they are thankful and tell me that I made a difference. or, it's the stranded people on the side of the road or the animal I find and pick up and reunite with it's owners. The other day I spent several hours with a woman whose spouse has dementia and had earlier become violent. Not like him. So I was there problem solving and being a safe presense and she said thank you so much for staying here and setting things up for me and she gave me a hug. That was so cool. And he is okay and I have the right person in there now to help. That makes it worth it to me. I know that I have a reason to be here.

Hmmm... tough question. Offhandedly, I'd say my grandkids because I become one of them when I'm with them, at least until an adult needs to step in. I get a chance to be a child again since I didn't have a childhood. LOL They have even inspired a poem or three out of me. What inspires you? But thinking about it, all of the above and then some are parts of what keeps me going.

My two boys, the two that are actively involved in my life are a great inspiration in different ways. Just the other day I decided to check out my oldest son's website. When I got done, I felt like a stranger because it had been a long time since I'd visited. He seems to be so incredibly successful that I feel like we're not in the same league. But hey! He doesn't brag about his success, hardly every mentions it other than to say he's really busy and he is MY son! I bore him, I raised him and although he's given up some of the values I tried to teach him, he's still a great person.

My youngest son inspires me because his life seems to be going like mine always has been; difficult. He doesn't give up, though. He keeps trudging forward and sees the fruits of his labors.

If it wasn't for my best friend, Monika, I don't know where I'd be now. When the going got really tough, she was always there for me in any way I needed her. In fact, she was there when my family wasn't or wouldn't and she was there when the rest of my erstwhile friends turned their back on me.

My doves and kitty give me something to look forward to each day. They need me and ask, no, demand affection from me. Even my Siamese Fighting Fish gives me a chuckle when I feed him. He actually follows my hand when I pick up the little container of fish food and he's ready to gobble down the pellets.

This is the only place I can say I have online friends since I don't visit other interactive websites anymore. People are just too rude and hateful everywhere else. Ya'll don't know how much you mean to me and how appreciative I am to almost always find someone to talk to when I'm feeling low.

My garden is a hobby as well as an inspiration. The nurturing, the creativity it inspires and the life cycles, ya know...

Last, but certainly not least, in fact it's #1, is my faith. If I didn't have my faith, I wouldn't have anything. Life certainly would not be worth living even if I had everything else I've mentioned.

That was great food for thought, Inky! Thanks! It made me stop and think about a lot of things! "It's a good thing!" What inspires you?

What inspires me most and best are two different answers!

<font color="blue"> Best is sitting in my church at the beginning of service when the choir and minister are in the narthex and the church goes silent and the minister quotes a passage of scripture or saying and then the choir sings coming from the narthex... and the organ begins and they enter the church.... the spirit is overwhelming (btw you can see some of this on tv, it's Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Ft Lauderdale.)

<font color="green"> Most is my T. I see him 3x a week and phone calls too... especially like the stressful weeks of hurricanes. I don't get to go to church very often but I do get to therapy and so he has more opportunity to inspire me to continue on, that I am doing my best, and to find a better place.

Wow what a great question inky.

I'd say the thing that inspires me the most is when people say you can't do that because ...... well when that happens I am bound and determined to prove them wrong. Like someone told me recently you can't put that desk together you're not mechanically inclined. Well its not together yet but tomorrow it will be. I have the bookshelf and chair together so I'm on my way. I think waking up before my alarm inspires me too because I know if I can do that I can do anything today.
Also a really pretty sunset can inspire me to write, grab my camera or just sit in awe.

i have to say that my daughter inspires me. as a person she is so insightful - an old soul as some would say. she has recently told me something that almost broke my heart for her sake, something she has kept with her for 18 years. something that might have broken other people but instead has made her stronger. i realise that her strength, her faith, her convictions, her trust in the good of people, her honesty and her spirit inspires me.
