Well, I just actually started taking it today, I have to take 25mg doses for the first week, and then up it to 50mg daily after the first week. I knew I was going to be drinking heavily last night because there was a big party here, and today is my birthday so I was kinda wondering if I should start taking it today or not because I wil be drinking more most likely, but I decided to take my first dose this morning anyways. As of right now, I don't feel much different. The doctor told me that it would take 3-4 days to feel a difference, was it about that time for you if you can recall?

The theraputic dose for Zoloft is 75mg, but it's good that you are starting off in a small dose.

One word of advice, is don't drink while on this medication, definatly not a good thing.

You should be taking it everyday at the same time, and perferably with food so it does not upset your stomache.

My time for my meds when I was on Zoloft was between 5-6 I always took it at supper time.

For me it took about 6 weeks for me to feel great on this, 4-5 days isn't enough time for the meds to take it's full affect, hense why we get side effects, our bodies aren't use to the chemical changes.

But you likely will notice a difference though, espeically if you are going up in dose. But it takes 6 weeks really to reach it's full potential.

You wont notice a difference right away usually, it takes time.
