I had a good day!

Guys I just had a really great moment with my mom.

I don’t know why but things are just suddenly getting better between the two of us these days...

It seems as though since I got sick she’s been treating me different, but not in an iniquitous way. It is just that she is doing the little things that are huge to me that I had wished she did before. Such as yesterday her saying I love you to me in the car out of no where.

She is just being totally copacetic and it feels great. Today she let me sleep in and my step father made me mint tea and brought it to me in bed and just let me stay in bed with it and then drove me to school all because my mom suggested it. She has been making me tea every morning because it “helps me wake up” with all the medicine I am taking right now.

Also, this is the best part I think; my mom came home from work and while I was in the hospital she had made a comment about how my nail polish was coming off and we should go get manicures together the day I get discharged. Well I didn’t get discharged until late at night so it didn’t happen, I was disappointed, but today she came home from work and was like how do you feel? So I told her I felt okay and she said okay get in the car we are going to go get out nails done!

We drove all the way to the place (a whole 10 minutes away lol) and they were closed! The door said they would be open until 7:30 it was 5:30 so my mom was like “wow just our luck, figures it would happen to us huh?” So we went into the hallmark next door and where looking at all the funny cards (like the one with the really morbidly obese woman on the beach ohmylanta) and we looked at all the statues and stuff.

Anyways I don’t like chocolate except once a month for umm girl reasons and I was telling my mom how I was getting cramps and she bought this chocolate in the hallmark that is like hot fudge dipped in white chocolate dipped in milk chocolate. Soooo good! So, she was like “we can hide this in the house and keep it just for you and me” It was so sweet. It was just totally an awwwwwwwww moment.

I just generally had a really great day which makes up for my terrible last night. Thing is though even though I had a really bad night my mom was there for me in that mom way that I just needed so much. I cried my self to sleep next to her last night and even though I was totally upset it was great having her with me while I was upset for once.

My friend Mary called me last night because I wasn’t in school 2 days in a row and she over heard two of my teachers talking about me and some of the things she told me they said really upset me, that and the fact that teachers (teachers who hate me and I have had a problem with since day one) where talking about me in a hallway where students could over hear and rumors could start, which they did. I got 4 phone calls saying they heard I would be out the rest of the year. So I was really upset. You guys might think that it is a totally silly reason to get upset but I was and still am. My mom just gave me that "mom" advice after I told her I didnt want to go to school ever again about how sometimes in life we have to do things we dont want to and deal with people we dont like and that we cannot let them get to us and it just shows what kind of people they are. I kept crying though so my mom called and left a message for my principal. Not sure if that was a good idea or not.

Well anyway moral of the post: I love my mom and I had a great day!

Wow, I bet you are feeling great today. Us Moms aren't oh so bad all the time. According to my daughter, just 99.99%...

Mmmmmmmmmmm, I eat chocolate even less than 1x a month but that sounds sooooooo yum!!!!!
