Can you remember a few things very clearly or remember alot of things vaugely?

My memories are kind of patchy, I have a few memories for each part of my life (most of em are random ones) however they are extreemely good detail.

For example:
I remember when I was about 5, my mom and I were shopping at the salvation army and I saw a little stuffed cow that was holding a tiny red rose and I loved it because it had my name printed on the tag (and in red nonetheless!) Mom bought it for me and I can remember naming her Rosey and skipping along with the little cow. What is your memory like?

Ive always thought my memories were kinda strange... I mean, I mostly remember random ones that generally had no influence on my life... but sometimes I have like, flashbacks of the bad ones that occured through a bad patch in my life... and when they pop up, sometimes I struggle to come to terms with it and its like, "wtf?? did that actually happen?!"

Its like I forgot all about it in the first place.

I have really good long term memory, I can remember a lot of things in great detail. However my short term memory is not so good, it used to be better.

I remember bits and pieces of my childhood, but don't ask me to remember how old I was when certain things happened because I couldn't tell you much. There are a few things I know how old I was...but very few.

I have short term memory loss problems, it's gotten to a questionable point. My long term is okay, but there are parts of my life that my mother and sister has brought up that I don't remember at all. Then there are some memories that I remember every little detail of. I used to have an impressive memory...ever since I had kids though I forget everything, even important things.

I remember ALL emotional things, all well told stories about friend's lives, all jokes, all compliments, all secrets shared,,.......yet NOTHING when anything is the least bit PRACTICAL.......where I put my keys, when my appointment is (unless the T is really special...) what needs cleaning, when to do the laundry, when to put the garbage out, NOTHING ANY BIT PRACTICAL........plus, EVERYTHING EMOTIONAL!!
