It's sad that we have to declare ourselves a day prior to the "real" Mothers Day because nobody considers us "real" mothers -- but we made the choice to permanently destroy our lives and our mental health so that our children could have better lives than we could have given them ourselves.

I wish you a Happy Mother's Day! In my book, you are still a mom. One who gave the gift of life, one who gifted that life to another "mom" !

I cannot imagine the pain you must feel everytime Mother's Day comes around, or his birthday. I'm sorry you have to feel that pain at all. In my eyes, it took a special woman, a strong woman to make the decision you made for your child.

candy you have done something not many women would even entertain the thought of....and you did it for your child! That to me is the most selfless act ever.

To me Mother's Day is for women who have children and those who have been selfless enough to give the best to their children! This includes the many women who have made the choice for their children's safety to give them up....and I cannot express how much strength it shows for you and others in your position.

Candy darling dont think yourself any less for what you did. What you did is an AMAZING thing.. you let your child have the gift of life and you let a woman experience motherhood who may possibly have not been able to.

I am adopted, and I harbor no ill feelings towards her though I do not know her. I know she was young, and not set up to take care of me, therefore she made the best decision she could on my behalf.
