I just felt I should point that out.
 I'm very fragile lately, but if I'm overreacting, I refuse to apologize. I am going to go out on a limb (bears can climb trees) and say that it hurts terribly to feel used, and even more terribly to feel ignored. I do a lot for folks here. A good portion of it is behind the scenes, to be sure, and I am not boastful or a braggart, nor do I believe that it's anybody else's business except mine and the person I'm helping. But you know? When people tell me how they look forward to my posts and how valuable I am, and then the only person to respond to a Kudos thread is the person who posted it -- 12 hours after it was posted -- it hurts. In case you haven't noticed in the 4+ years I've been here -- I only sort-of have it together -- and while I try to project being OK -- it's a self-protective mechanism. I have dealt with and overcome a fair bit, it's true. But that doesn't mean I've solved *everything,* and just because I focus on giving others support and attention doesn't mean I don't need it myself. Underneath the pseudo-hard-hearted exterior is a mushy, emo, sad and scared bear who could use a little love....    CB |

Bravo to you for being able to express how you are feeling and what you are needing. It can be difficult to let others know what we are in need of and when we are hurting. I too, apologize for not replying in Kudos to a thread for you. I have much respect and appreciation for ALL you do here at PC. You are a valued member of this community.....no doubt about it! Whenever you are in need of a hug....or a shoulder....you let me know ok? sabby |

Hi Candy....
I'm sorry that your feeling hurt..you have indeed spent a considerable amount of time here and that alone is very helpfull...but I have gone and read some of your posts and you are a compassionate, kind and thoughtfull person...priceless really... I know it is hard to feel unappreciated...just doesn't seem right somehow.. I just finished a roof for a fellow in my program...I told him all he needed to do was buy the materials and I would put the roof up for him...He was gratefull and expressed it.... I just saw him and his wife yesterday,,,and not a word from her...almost like I was a transparency..It hurt a little bit but then I stood back and reminded myself that I put that roof up because it was the next right thing to do...not for any glory or thankyous...just because it was the best thing to do... And that ended it for me... I admire your courage for sharing your hurt... Lenny

My "excuse" is that I don't go to Kudos because I hardly ever get any. The only time I go in there is if, on the odd time, my name shows on the index. You KNOW I love you!  I love your new avatar, Sweetie! You're a wonderful "birth mom"! You sacrificed your sanity to give your wonderful son a chance at a good life... which he got.  I so admire you for that and I admire your strength in biding your time to continue to develop the relationship you have with him now.Aren't you so proud of how much he looks like you? And he's sooooo good looking!   I love him just because I love YOU. I feel like his adopted "aunt" or something. Any time you feel like you aren't appreciated, just "HOOAAARK" at me, okay?
