I had to post this because how many of us just run down the stairs when we are late or rushed or just not thinking??

This morning, a very good friend of mine was doing just that and he fell. Not a terrible fall, just one of those oops I slipped falls. He didn't roll down to the bottom like a stunt man or anything. But, this afternoon, he felt woozy and had increasing pain in his side. It turns out that the fall caused internal bleeding and the wooziness was caused by blood loss.
Please be careful when you rush. It can be more dangerous than you think.
hugs to all and be safe

it seems every one is falling lately. have you all heard of fidel castro's fall? he tripped at a graduation ceremony breaking his knee and his arm. i guess that's better than internal bleeding though. so i'm with angel, be safe.

Angel:

When I was at my last house, we had stairs, going up to the 2nd floor and down to the basement and I can't tell you how many times I did that very thing in a rush. Much more than a handful of times. I have to agree with you. Luckily I did nothing more than got a bump on the head, wrenched my knee, and strained my back. (I know, not too good huh?)

It can be VERY dangerous to be in a rush like that and it always was like one minute I'm upright and the next I'm sprawled with no warning whatsoever.

Take Care all,
Kimberly.

Yo, I agree. Once in my office, I was in a rush and stood on a desk chair on wheels. Just for a second, I told myself. Yup, a split second. Chair went one way, my body flew in another. Knocked myself out for a few seconds, and had dizzy spells with blurred vision so bad I'd feel nauseous for 6-10 months, with decreasing frequency. It pays to be careful.
