Things have been feeling a lot worse lately, especially with the loss of unemployment checks. I have a serious loss of money right now. The financial situation is like desperate and gasping for air. This and everything is really getting to me.

I may have said some things in chat last night that maybe didn't exactly sound good. I don't know what to do anymore. I just saw my own T for the last time until I have money/insurance to pay him. I'm going to miss him, and I think he knows that.

I signed a release for my kid's T--who has a friend on the Board at the local homeless shelter. Guess what? I AM IN!!! Tonight should be my first night. For some reason, at the shelter office they almost seemed to bend over backwards for me today when talking to them. Funny, they've never been like this before in my past with them, or with anyone else. Do you think my kid's T knowing me way too well and having a conversation with the staff there--and having a friend on the Board--may have shown influence? Hmmmmm???

It seems like everyone is talking about me going on psych meds. I've never been on any before, so I'm nervous about it. I know that I probably should, but I can't help but to be scared and cautious of it. There is even a possibility of applying for disability. (Hey, rhymed.) I'm kind of scared about life right now.

YEEEHA!! Inky has a bed with a pillow!! I'm really glad about that! Sure helps to have friends in high places. Too bad it takes that to get decent care, ....but I'm darn glad you have a place to bed down. I feel really good about that. I hope you adjust well - it'll take some getting used to if you haven't slept there before.

Take care. Emmy

I have been in this system before, so its not the first time. I'm know how it works. It's not really a bed, but a small, thin pad with a worn pillow and sheet with a blanket. Nothing much, but it works. I may have a problem going to Doc's chat on Tuesday night now, though. Life Update

(((((((((Inky)))))))))))))) so good to hear you got in. It may be a thin pad, but it's something. I hope the staff and everyone will continue to treat you well.

Will you have any other support system beside the shelter and us? I hope so. I'm sorry you can't see your T anymore because of the financial situation.

Big hugs for me. Will miss you in chat. Take care.

Inky, this is good news!!!! So happy for you. I know you have many more obstacles, but this one was what is needed to be taken care of first. Proud of you for not giving up.

(((((inky))))) I'm so glad to hear this. I have been worried because I'm sure like here its been getting cold at night. Will you get to take your guinea pig with you? I wish you could still see your T but maybe someday soon you will be able too.

Congrats on the shelter!!! I am so happy for you. At least there is a silver lining to what is going on with your unemployment checks. I hope that things work out for you and glad that you are well.
Thanks for checking in.

Dearest Inky -- I have often thought of you and your situation, and how cold it must be in Chicago and how dangerous and uncomfortable to sleep in your car.

I hope you will be as comfortable as possible in the shelter, and safe, and that you will make more contacts who will continue to help. I hope you find a source of income and can have a room of your own someday. You are in my prayers. Many blessings for you, Inky, many blessings and much love.

I'm glad that you have a warm place to sleep. Sorry things still aren't working out for you the way you would like them to, but I believe it will get better. You'll have the means to provide for yourself sooner than you think. Until then, and after, we're always here for you.
