I went to the closest convenience store to buy some Powerball tickest this evening, and upon coming out, someone yelled, "Hi, Ms. Wolford!" I went to my car, and it was a band of former ragtag students. They said they were going to "get drunk" and offered me one of two puppies they had in their car...little things barely weaned!
They told me, though it was tiny, but fat, that it was German Shepherd and something else. It had beautiful markings and blue eyes! I was standing there debating whether to take it home with me, but I've just gotten myself "dog free" after finding a home for my dog which escaped for over a year of heartache. I found a wonderful home for my Kelley, Samoyed mix, on a 78 acre farm with children who adore her and sleep with her.
Should I have taken the little puppy? I don't know. They gave me their phone number but I've forgotten it, stopping a couple of times on the way home. I might be able to fine their phone number by doing some research.
I did tell them to have a "designated driver" on their drunken outing!
