A good friend of mine who did animal rescues down in my area after Katrina said the Humane Society from her state is now in the affected areas of the flooding along the mississippi river.
She said they are asking for donations towards sheltering and feeding the animals. If anyone is interested in donating towards this heroic action. Here is the link to donate. http://www.hsmo.org/ Its just one of the ways we can help. chalmette

I live in Missouri and had not heard this plea for help. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I hope St. Louis doesn't get flooded too badly. I don't live there but have a fondness for that city.
